Classic handmade antique type rug Baluch, woven from wool. It is a high quality carpet with a density 360000 knots / m2. The carpet has a visible but well done repair.
Baluch carpets are related to Afghan and Turkmen carpets, with muted dark blue, dark red, black and brown tones. They have geometric patterns with a stylized tree of life.
Carpets sometimes also contain decorative structures to protect the narrow side of the carpet from wear. The long sides often consist of several borders, which are extended by goat or horse hair. The Wrap is made of sheep wool, resp. mixtures of sheep and goat wool, but newer carpets have a warp already made of cotton.
The carpets are thick, thin and of high quality. They are most often made in smaller sizes and with vivid patterns. Prayer rugs are also common.
