Classic handmade rug of the Moud type, woven from wool and silk. It is a high quality carpet with a density of 360000 knots / m2.
The city of Moud is located 300 km south of Mashad. The Herati pattern appears on Moud carpets with and without a central medallion. Carpets are often divided into Moud Mahi and Moud Garden. The first variety is beige with pale red and blue tones. The second variety resembles Bakhtiar carpets with its garden motifs.
Double weft threads are used and the design is often of very good quality. Both types of rugs can contain silk, which adds shine to the hair. Other rugs from this area are called Birdshand and Kashmar.
